The varieties of Rush that are grown are all cultivars of Acorus Gramineus, which is native to the wetlands and shallow streams of eastern continental Asia and Japan.
It is a popular plant both in ponds where it straddles the water’s edge, as well as in terrariums and palladiums where it can be grown in dam and semi submersed conditions.
This plant can be easily propagated by splitting off and replanting new clumps.
